Welcome to my first foray into blogging!
"What is this site", you ask?
Easy answer: I don't really know 🤣. But if you enjoy software engineering, personal finance, investing, or any subset of these, this is the place for you!
Longer answer: I'm hoping this can be a fun blog for anyone who wants to learn more about the things that I enjoy in my life, such as software engineering, personal finance, and investing. That's not to say that I won't discuss other things, but this is my initial vision for now.
One of the skills I've kept up ever since I was a kid in elementary school was picking up something new I wanted to learn and then immersing myself in it. I had some great guides along the way, including parents, teachers, coaches, and mentors and I owe a lot of my knowledge and early growth to them. They instilled in me a sense of wonder about the world and stoked my curiosity to want to know everything I could about anything that interested me. Whenever I wanted to learn about something new to satisfy my curiosity, I could check out books at the library (yeah, I guess I just told you I'm not a 21st century baby) or Google for concepts, howto's, blogs, videos, etc.
In the same way that I learned a lot from those resources and pushed the boundaries of my own knowledge, I'm hoping that this blog can teach others and inspire them to be curious about the world.
